Coolaroo was a 134 m long and 16,5 m wide refrigerator ship, built in 1956 and based in Göteborg, Sweden.

It was grounded 27.10.1961 south of Helsinki, Finland on its way to Rostock, Germany. The stern stayed on surface for three years, but eventually it went down too, to 14 m depth. The bow part lies some 200 m apart in 12-25 depth, and the engine is in the middle at 5m depth. Both the stern and engine areas have wreckage spread around in wide area. The bow part of the hull is intact.

Bow

The main coordinates are for the front part of the wreck, including the bow.  It lies in 11-25m depth. (60°1.066', 24°52.632')

Engine

The engine sits at 2-6m depth SW from the bow.  (60°1.040', 24°52.527')

It has a long propeller tunnel still attached to the engine. You can swim through the engine. The whole midship close to the engine seems to be spread around the engine in all directions.

Stern

The stern part (what is remaining of it) sits NW from the engine at 12-14m depth (60°1.070', 24°52.381'). It is also pretty banged up, and you can find some recognizable parts.
